Read the sky

Meteors from a shower appear to travel away from the same point: its radiant. In this fictional flat sky chart, all shower paths meet exactly on a grid intersection.

  1. Turn on “Extend tracks backward” to see each streak’s trail.
  2. Select Amber or Teal, then click an intersection to pin it. Swap A/B freely: either naming works.
  3. Assign every numbered streak to A, B or stray. Click a streak record repeatedly to cycle its group.
  4. Certify your observation. Both origins and every assignment must agree.

Keyboard: focus the chart, arrows move, Enter pins. A/B selects a radiant; U undoes. Buttons also work with Tab and Enter.

Three stars for an unaided solution, two after one hint, one after more. Checking and tracing are always free. No timer, penalties or lockouts. Progress stays on this browser.

Inspired by November’s meteor showers. These are invented geometry puzzles, not real sky coordinates or observing advice.
